Keith was born in 1949. He was educated at Thorpe Grammar School, Norfolk, the University of Hull, and undertook post-graduate research in War Studies at King's College, London. In July 1997 he was appointed to the Conservative Parliamentary Defence Committee. In June 1998 he was appointed a frontbench defence spokesman. From June 1999 to June 2001, he was an Opposition Whip responsible for Treasury, Home Affairs and Health. He was subsequently appointed Shadow Agriculture Spokesman in October 2001. From 2002 to 2005, he was Shadow Minister for Defence; since May 2005, he has served as Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Dan Roper lives in the constituency with his wife and young family. He grew up barely three miles from his current home and went to Sprowston High school. He is a manager in the Probation Service and is currently based in a prison.
Susan Curran (Green)

Susan is a writer who established her own publishing house in 1997 specialising in academic and business publishing. Her own published works include novels and non-fiction, notably “The Environment Handbook.” She is aged 57 and married with two grown-up sons. Susan is a former Labour Councillor in Norwich, one of a number who have switched their allegiance to the Green Party.

Age 60, married. Member since 1999. Offices held within UKIP: Chairman Norwich & Norfolk Branch 2003-2006, Member of Agricultural Policy Group, Member of Regional Committee 2004 & 2005. Previously a Farm Manager, Soil & Water Conservation Officer in Rhodesia.
